Booz Allen Hamilton Partners with Sports Innovation Lab to Present the Tactical Athlete Leadership Board

The Tactical Athlete Leadership Board will identify the latest advanced technologies and best practices across human performance to support future elite warfighters.

Today’s warfighter trains and operates in completely new situations and environments. The Tactical Athlete is an individual with the cognitive and physical ability, mental agility, and tactical skills to excel and win on the battlefield. To succeed and elevate their performance, these professionals require the same resources and tools available to the world’s greatest athletes. Advances in human performance technology, knowledge, sensors, and wearables provide ways to quantify and enhance training protocols and best practices. We are in a better position today than ever before to develop the Tactical Athlete.

"At Booz Allen Hamilton, we make all our decisions by collecting and analyzing data. It’s the way we run our business. By working with Sports Innovation Lab to understand how human performance can be monitored, analyzed, and improved through technology and feedback from leading experts in the field, we believe we’re bringing a first of its kind resource to our clients with this Leadership Board" said Munjeet Singh, Senior Vice President in Booz Allen’s Strategic Innovation Group. "The Tactical Athlete Leadership Board will convene frequently throughout the year based on research and analysis done in areas that are critical to the Tactical Athlete’s training, field work, and recovery."

The Board will focus on the three main categories of technology instrumentation for tactical athletes: collection, analysis, and delivery.

The Tactical Athlete Technology Stack

Questions that will guide the board’s research include

Collect: How, when, and what do you collect data off the tactical athlete? What is the goal of collecting this data?
Analyze: Where is the data stored? How is it secured? What are you analyzing? What is the baseline? How long have you been collecting it?
Deliver: Who needs this data and how will it get to him/her? How will it be applied to the athlete?
